Welcome to the

temporary website of Stamperland Church.

Welcome if you have stumbled across this temporary web site.
BT, who currently host the Stamperland site are withdrawing this service.  In preparation for this withdrawal we have established this temporary site while the new website for

Netherlee and Stamperland (Church of Scotland) is developed.

NETHERLEE AND STAMPERLAND  (CHURCH OF SCOTLAND)

With effect from 1st January 2020 Stamperland Parish Church is in a union with Netherlee Parish Church and the combined churches are formally known as Netherlee and Stamperland (Church of Scotland).  Our two churches share a minister, Rev Scott Blythe.   On most Sunday mornings services are held in both churches, with the service at Netherlee starting at 10.00 am and the Service at Stamperland starting at 11.30 am.  However, on occasions, the congregations join together to worship in one church.  These joint services normally start at 10.30 am.  For information on service times click here.

OUR CHURCH

STAMPERLAND CHURCH was founded in 1939 when the local Churches of Greenbank, Netherlee and Williamwood came together to help found the church. The first service was held on 25th February 1940 in what is now the dry cleaner's shop in Stamperland Crescent. Since these early days the church has grown and is active in many ways. Those of us who are members like to think that we are a welcoming and friendly church and hope you find that to be so.

We have step-free access to the church and an easily accessible toilet.

The church is fitted with an audio-frequency induction loop (also known as a hearing loop)

for those with appropriate hearing aids.

Access to the main halls is virtually step-free.

Unfortunately, the toilets in the hall area are accessible only via stairs.
WiFi access is provided throughout the hall accommodation.

OUR MINISTER is Rev Scott Blythe, BSc, BD, MBA.

Scott was inducted to Stamperland on 30th November 2017.  at the end of July, 2018, following the retirement of Rev. Tom Nelson as minister at Netherlee Parish Church, the two churches of Stamperland and Netherlee linked and Scott Blythe became the minister of Netherlee Parish Church linked with Stamperland Parish Church.  Following congregational votes on Sunday, 6th October 2019, the members of Netherlee and Stamperland agreed to unite with effect from 1st January 2020.  Since the two churches united, Sunday morning worship has continued to be held in both churches.
