The case for the long-term retention of Netherlee and Stamperland Church Buildings

This document summarises the use of the church buildings

Possible Changes to Stamperland Buildings

Sanctuary

The sanctuary is used on Sundays for morning worship, on Wednesday mornings for private prayer and occasionally for concerts, fund-raising events, Netherlee school end-of-term assemblies.  Some initial condiserations have been given to see what might be involved in remodelling the existing sanctuary to develop a more flexible space which would be used not just for worship but for other purposes.  Click here to see some of the initial thoughts.

Hall Accommodation

The hall accommodation comprises a large hall and three smaller halls as well as a kitchen, office space, meeting room space, storage and toilets.  Three of the halls are accessible, step-free.  However, the hall toilets are not step-free and involve negotiating stairs.  There has been talk of altering layouts to enable the provision of accessible toilets and provision of improved kitchen / catering facilities but no options have been seriously investigated.  Some ideas are mentioned in this document.
